In 2011 we did not make a lot of wine because we still had so much from the previous 2 years. We did make a barrel of Zinfandel, a barrel of Cabernet and 30 gallons of Estate Petite Sirah. We blended this wine for fun and this wine is by brothers favorite. The blend is 50% Zinfandel, 40% Cabernet, and 10% Petite Sirah. Of all wines entered in both the San Joaquin and Alameda County Fairs this wine won the highest Siver Medal winner and 2nd best of class. Sadly we drank and gave a lot of this wine away to friends before it won the awards. Now I have to hide it in the cellar because I only have 3 cases left. I am a fan of blends and my wife “Catherine” made the choice of this blend.
